This psychological thriller is right up my street – a book that grabs your attention from the beginning, written in the first person (which normally I don’t like) but each person is ‘I’ so you’re not always sure who the ‘I’ is – this greatly adds to the suspense. The Prologue gives an insight to the very disturbed mind of a young girl / woman but who is it? You’re sure you know at first but then the plot thickens and more prospective suspects emerge.
Cleverly written to give you glimpses of the truth but then turns in a different direction leaving you page turning frantically to discover more. Even at the very end there are more revelations to give a satisfying finish to a really meaty and good read… intriguing, non-predictive and enjoyable stuff!!!! Samantha Hayes is a new author to me, but I’m now about to start her next book and will review that soon..
