The Baby Show

Today we went to the baby show at Excel. Which was a fantastic show! It was so great to see so much in one place. To compare buggies and baby slings but judging by the fact it is 4.30 am maybe it has made me realise how disorganised I am too!

So what is there to do and see? Well a bit of everything! There were the big baby retailers, Mamas and Papas, Mothercare, Babys R Us, Costco to name a few. Then there were gorgeous cots and furniture including cot bunk beds – very cute! Then the practical items from nappies to bibs to soothers and bottles. Then there was the buggy comparison my favourite bit. There are so many fantastic buggies on then market. Lots of the big brands were there and they have everything from strollers to prams and travel systems.

I have to confess to purchasing a new steriliser as ours was over used last time and some new bottles and bottle brush (So rock and roll!) But I also brought the cutest giraffe baby shoes and giraffe blanket and a teddy for the little one. My husband said why on earth did I buy a teddy when we have hundreds but as I pointed out this baby so far has nothing new so a soother blanket and a teddy was the least it deserves!

I think I have decided on buggy brand this time round, although not which one as there are so many to choose from, I think we will need a trip to John Lewis to trial them again! I did see several demonstrations at the show though and a couple really stood out for me, the new Raspberry from icandy which lays completely flat so you don’t need a travel system you can use the buggy from birth – why is this good, well judging by the fact most of my baby stuff is in the loft somewhere there are less bits to lose! There is a great three wheeler buggy too called the Peach Jogger which will be great for town and parks alike! I even got a sneaky peak at some new change bags that are coming out for the summer, let’s just say they are worth the wait!

So although I maybe up at a ridiculous hour I have made some decisions and have planned a bit further so a trip to the loft on the next couple of weeks a bit of washing and hopefully we will have most things sorted. Well either that or I’ll realise I haven’t got half the stuff I thought I had and will be panic buying at every supermarket and baby shop in town!!!!
