What we say: “Even before we got to the Lyric Theatre, Noah was already so excited at the thought of watching one of his favourite books on the stage. The theatre is easy to find and just two minutes’ walk from Piccadilly tube, perfect with a very excited little boy. We were not disappointed…

When we arrived we were shown to our seats and offered a booster seat if we wanted. We had brilliant seats right near the front. The theatre is the perfect size, small and intimate with great views from each seat.

Wow! Sally Cookson has done a truly amazing job and had us hooked from start to finish. It was of the best adaptions we have ever seen and Noah was enthralled for the entire time. The cast are wonderful and the way they bring each scene to life is brilliant, with audience interaction and plenty of songs for us all to join.

As soon as the show began Noah was transfixed; the cast is brilliant and the way the story is portrayed is so true to the book, which meant that Noah could follow the story and often knew what was coming next.

Our favourite was without doubt the river scenes and the snow storm. Be prepared to get wet, water pistol and buckets were used and the whole theatre was laughing out loud trying to hide from the streams of water, it was brilliant!

The snow storm took us completely by surprise, half way through we were engulfed in fake snow coming down from the ceiling, all of the children loved this, as did the adults too…

From start to finish it captured Noah’s attention and he was on the edge of his seat the whole time, at the end he even asked to watch it again. Both myself and my partner also loved it and would happily watch it again.

There are plenty of extras that you can buy before and after the show, we purchased a pair of Bear ears, which at £4 a go are quite expensive for the quality of them however Noah wouldn’t take them off so £4 well spent.

All in all it is a lovely treat for all of the family and I can’t recommend it enough.”
