What they say:  This collection of bright and engaging board books show how expressions, gestures and repetition of simple first vowel sounds and words can help early conversations to blossom. And, by encouraging babies to join in, parents will soon experience the joy of hearing their child’s very first words and phrases.

Small Talk’s books are for parents and babies to share and enjoy together, and illustrate fun ways to enhance your baby’s language and communication skills to help make them smarter and more sociable.

What we say:  “I love reading to my five year old sons and the books we now read at bedtime are great fun but I do miss reading lovely, simple baby board books – so I ‘borrowed’ my 18 month old niece and snuggled up with her at bedtime to read this book…

Small Talk Bedtime is lovely to follow along with your child and engage in some of the actions and bedtime activities that the story follows – most of which you probably already do during your own bedtime routine with your baby.

We both enjoyed the parts where your child is encouraged to copy you with words (“up, up, up!”), but gently does it and don’t get your baby too excited just before bedtime!

Brightly coloured, easy to read and plenty to look at, this board book gets the thumbs up from both of us!”

Small Talk Bedtime is available from many good book stores and online from Amazon.
