What they say: You can race to school at super-fast speed, weave in and out of the slow-coaches and leave your parents running behind! But, what would happen if your parents decided they wanted to have some super-fast Scooter Fun too? Can you imagine your mum or dad zooming along the street with the other parents?
Prolific children’s book writer, Lotte Moore, welcomes you into a vivid, colourful and comical world in which, just for one day, it’s the parents, not the children, who get to have all the fun on the scooters and in the school!
What we say: “I have been reading my 3.5 year old daughter the book ‘School Scooter Fun’ by Lotte Moore. She very much enjoyed the illustrations which are bright and bold and it was something she can relate to as she too loves riding her scooter to nursery.
The story itself isn’t too long so kept her interested and engaged, however, we didn’t find it to be the best story line we have read before. There was also some confusion as my daughter couldn’t understand why they were at school when the children weren’t in school uniform – something I believe most school children in the UK wear so could understand her confusion. Nonetheless, my daughter seemed to enjoy it and after I read it to her she would go back through the pages and make her own story up using the pictures.”
School Scooter Fun is available from many good book stores and online at Amazon.
