What they say:  When you’re a busy mum with lots to juggle there’s no time to stop when you’re feeling run down. Working parents often have to take time off work to care for their children and it’s rotten when busy mums feel run down when family life is so busy. With Christmas on the way it’s more important than ever to be on top form and enjoy family time.

Thankfully mums and families can get additional immune support with a bit of extra help from NEW Redoxon® Triple Action. Redoxon® Triple Action contains high strength vitamin C which can help you feel energised*, zinc to help maintain the skin**, and importantly with an addition of vitamin D to help your immune system function – your body’s natural protector. They come as effervescent tablets for adults and children over 12 years of age and gummies for children 4 years and up.

In winter in the UK, sunlight doesn’t provide enough UV-B rays for our bodies to make vitamin D. Latest figures show that in the UK more than 20% of adults have low vitamin D levels in their blood[i]. In July this year Public Health England shared guidelines advising that people consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms of vitamin D to help support bones, teeth and muscles*****. Redoxon® Triple Action tablets contain 10 micrograms of vitamin D.

This is the first time the Redoxon® range has a product which includes a combination of high strength vitamin C, D and zinc, to provide additional immune support, when the extra help is needed*. It joins Redoxon® Every Day multivitamin for children and adults which provides day to day support for the immune system throughout the year*.

What we say:  “My husband walks to and from work everyday and in this cold weather I thought that a few extra vitamins would not do him any harm! He started to take the Redoxon Triple Action every other day and has actually asked me to add them to our shopping list!  He says they taste fine (you dissolve them in water) and he is feeling great!  Whether this is due to the tablets or not, we are not sure but he did think he had a cold coming on and nothing has progressed so…! Fingers crossed!

I do give my 5 year old twins daily multi-vitamins and have done since they started nursery a couple of years ago. We all know that young children are not the most hygienic and I wanted to try my hardest to keep them healthy, especially when winter and all of the delightful bugs it brings strikes!

These Redoxon gummies are great if your child does not like standard, chalk-like vitamins as they look and smell like gummy sweets.  I was surprised at how many are recommended – for a packet of 25 up to 4 gummies per day are to be taken (depending on age).  A packet wouldn’t last long in my house and based on this I would prefer just one condensed gummy per day and ideally in packets of 30.  Much easier to keep track of and far easier to know when to add them to your shopping list…

The gummies themselves taste great (yes, I tried them!) and I’m sure most children would be happy to take them.  Again, as with all supplements, it’s hard to say whether they make a huge difference to your health and wellbeing, but I will continue to use them throughout the winter and hope that they help to make a difference.”

Redoxon® products are available at a range of stores including Tesco, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Superdrug and Waitrose. Redoxon® Triple Action tablets are available in packs of 10 at a RRP of £3.80, and the gummies come in packs of 25 at a RRP £2.49.
