What they say:  Thomas Cook says: The refurbished Paloma Grida Village is on the edge of Belek, so you can explore a real local town. Have a carefree holiday at the eight pools and on-site spa. You can also take a tennis lesson, go sailing or zip down one of the amazing waterslides. Make sure you bag yourself a sunlounger on the beach for relaxing by the sea.

What we say:  “I love this part of Turkey, having visited many times in the years before having children, so for our first family beach holiday abroad I knew exactly where I wanted to go: the Paloma Grida Resort & Spa in Belek, Antalya.

The hotel has many options of room choice; we booked the larger standard room with a side sea view which was a great size, with a large double bed, single bed and sofa bed – perfect for our family of four.

The main draw of this hotel for me was the swimming pool areas – two huge main pools to chose from, along with a smaller kids pool, children’s splash pool with a multitude of slides and an onsite waterpark with 4 great slides for the whole family.  There was even a splash park for the kids (yes, the adults enjoyed this immensely too!)… So much water fun for everyone!

The hotel kids club and facilities were some of the best that I have ever seen (I was a travel agent for many, many years) – I’m going to let the photos do the talking…

With two main buffet areas along with 6 a la carte restaurants (these had to be booked in advance, some at an additional fee – if you go then definitely try the Turkish restaurant, our favourite!) there was plenty of choice for even the fussiest of eaters.  Lunchtime was spent close to the pool or beach, choosing from the great snack bar and then ice creams and waffles if peckish – can you tell that we really enjoy our food while on holiday! 😉

All-inclusive hotels are not for everyone, but they are perfect for us and for the next few years this style of holiday is what we will be booking and looking forward to!  And remember, most holiday companies offer the best value if you book in advance – 2016 holidays are already on sale, so why not take a look!”
