paddington film

What they say:  Recently nominated for two BAFTA awards including Outstanding British Film and Adapted Screenplay, STUDIOCANAL is pleased to announce that the magical adventure of the UK’s most beloved bear, PADDINGTON, will be available to own this Easter! PADDINGTON will be available from 23 March 2015 on DVD, Blu-ray and download.

PADDINGTON is the magical adventure of a polite young Peruvian bear, who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, it seems that city life is not all he imagined- until he meets the Brown family, who kindly offer him a place to stay. But little do the Browns realise just how much chaos one small bear can cause- and they soon discover that their lives will never be the same again.

What we say:  “We missed this film at the cinema, particularly because when we had seen adverts for it previously, both my sons were slightly afraid of it!  The clip shown was the one you have probably seen as well, where Paddington floods the bathroom!  I was really keen to see it, having loved the books as a child, so in the comfort of our own surroundings at home, film snacks in hand, we sat down to watch…

…and the boys absolutely loved it!  Paddington is a great, fun filled, family caper – perfect for the transition from fully animated to real life film, well if you can call Paddington ‘real life’!

I had read comments from other mums saying that their children found Nicole Kidman’s character slightly scary – mine didn’t, although they did refer to her as the ‘baddie’, which she is but in an over-the-top fashion that even the youngest of children should find funny.

The boys must have watched this 5 or 6 times over the weekend – always a good sign in our household!”

Paddington is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 23 March 2015 – for your chance to win a copy along with a Paddington bundle click here (competition closes on 23 March 2015).
