What they say: Following sold-out seasons at the Royal Albert Hall and several world tours, The Imperial Ice Stars, will bring their dazzling production of The Nutcracker on Ice to the UK’s no.1 Christmas destination.
In a show especially created for Winter Wonderland, get ready to experience 60 minutes of pure joy and ice magic. As midnight strikes on Christmas Eve, a young girl’s Christmas present comes to life, sweeping her to a world of enchantment and wonder where she meets many colourful characters including the Mouse King, the Nutcracker Prince and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Showcasing world-class skating in a stunning new indoor venue, the Winter Palace Theatre, prepare to be wowed by this magical production on real ice. With sumptuous projected scenery, lavish costumes, spectacular flying sequences, acrobatics, fire and illusions, The Nutcracker on Ice at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will be a thrilling theatrical experience that will enchant all ages.
What we say: “We all thoroughly enjoyed watching Nutcracker On Ice – it certainly put us in a Christmassy mood!
The theatre itself was nice and intimate, I imagine there is not a bad seat in the house and everyone would have a wonderful view.
Visually the show is very bright and would appeal to all ages. It ran for about an hour and we all agreed that it was magical. The adults in my group enjoyed it as much as the children (maybe more!).
We visited Winter Wonderland on a week night and it was raining pretty much the whole time we were there 🙁 It was fairly empty although the Nutcarcker On Ice theatre was full so I would recommend booking your tickets in advance as the show is obviously going to be very popular!
A wonderful evening was had by all!”
