liar liar

What they say:  The fourth DI Helen Grace thriller by bestselling author M.J. Arlidge.

In the dead of night, three raging fires light up the city skies. It’s more than a tragic coincidence. For DI Helen Grace the flames announce the arrival of an evil she has never encountered before.

Because this is no firestarter seeking sick thrills, but something more chilling: a series of careful, calculating acts of murder.

But why were the victims chosen? What’s driving the killer? And who will be next?

A powder keg of fear, suspicion and dread has been laid. Now all it needs is a spark to set it off . . .

What we say:  “Liar liar is the fourth thrilling book in the DI Helen Grace series by MJ Arlidge (having only previously read one of the books in the series, this book still made sense!). As a working mum, I often find it hard to find the time to read as often as I would like, however I find these books enthralling and absolutely gripping from the outset.

‘As three raging fires light up that city skies, it is more than a tragic coincidence’. Each chapter of the story is written from a different persons perspective of the Incident and helps to cast doubts over your own opinions of ‘whodunnit’.

Full of twists and turns, I felt this book was a well paced read, that holds the suspense throughout. The final outcome and reveal of the perpetrator was totally unseen and unexpected – a jaw dropping moment.

A great reflection of MJ Aldridge’s talents as a writer & what I feel makes these books such brilliant reads. I loved this book and will definitely find time to read the others!”
