What they say: Let’s Cook Italian, by chef Anna Prandoni, is a fun, interactive, bilingual cookbook for families that introduces the art and joy of Italian cooking.

It teaches better eating habits and the importance of culture, while providing quality family bonding time. Featuring classic, simple dishes inspired by Italian cuisine, each recipe is shown in both Italian and English and accompanied by charming illustrations.

With an emphasis on fresh ingredients and hands-on preparation with family activities, dishes include traditional starters, main courses, and desserts. Your child’s creativity will be sparked, as will your deeper connection with them.

What we say:  “My daughter enjoys spending time in the kitchen, helping with family meals and baking cakes and puddings and as Italian food is a favourite I knew we would enjoy this cookbook!

Each recipe is featured in a double page spread – one page in English and the other in Italian, a great way of introducing your child to a new language or helping anyone who is currently learning the language.

We chose to try Meatballs with Tomato Sauce – a simple, rustic meal that my daughter was able to make mostly on her own, with very little help and assistance.  Clear plates from the whole family, and a very happy 10 year old chef!”

Let’s Cook Italian is published by Quarry Books and is available from many good book stores and online at Amazon.
