if not for you

What they say:  If not for her loving but controlling parents, Beth might never have taken charge of her life.  If not for her friend Nichole, Beth would never have met Sam Carney – a tattooed mechanic who is her conservative parents’ worst nightmare.

And if not for Sam – who witnessed a terrible accident and rushed to her aid – Beth might have never survived and fallen in love.

Yet there are skeletons in Sam’s closet that prevent him from ever trusting a woman again. Will he be able to overcome his past and fight for love?

What we say:  “I’ve never read any of Debbie Macomber’s books, but immediately loved the story If Not For You.  She tells the story of Beth and Sam meeting after a chance encounter and falling in love.  Entwined in the story is the relationship between Beth, her Aunt Sunshine and her mother.

This book is an enjoyable read about love, opposites attracting, family relationships and spreading your wings.  I warmed to the characters and although perhaps a little predictable it is a sweet story.

I would definitely recommend packing it in your suitcase to read on your summer holidays and I look forward to reading more of Debbie Macomber’s books.”

If Not For You is available now from many good bookstores and online from Amazon.
