After years of struggling with my weight and constant yoyo dieting, I was intrigued to explore a different option for weight loss through Lauren Rosenberg and the EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT).  I have tried every diet under the sun, and fail every time!!  Each time I go on a diet I feel deprived and hard done by, and have never reached a goal or been a weight I am happy with.

“EFT works on the basis that we’ve all had negative experiences in our lives which felt very intense, especially if we were young when they happened and even more so if they were repeated. Thinking about these can cause strong emotion and anxiety years after the event.  Such bad experiences can cause a disruption in the body’s energy system, a kind of ‘short circuit’, which can be at the root of negative feelings, phobias and health issues.

EFT is a simple technique which can help to resolve these issues. It involves simple tapping on the body using fingertips to help unblock any disruptions in this energy flow – hence it also being known as acupressure or acupuncture without needles. It’s quick and easy to learn with the guidance of a qualified EFT practitioner.”

Lauren sent me through a questionnaire before our visit so she could have an understanding of my issues and family history.  I must admit, I was extremely apprehensive as I haven’t done anything like this before, but I went along with an open mind and a positive attitude.

Without divulging and boring you with too much of my life story, after a few sessions with Lauren I can honestly say that she has triggered some memories that I never knew I had, and given me “food for thought” (pardon the pun) as to some of the reasons why I have such a strong relationship with food.

Lauren is great, and isn’t afraid to use different approaches when something isn’t working, and really tunes into how you are feeling but doesn’t push you too much.

I feel we have a lot more sessions to go before getting to the bottom of why food is so important to me.  I will share my journey with you as we go along and hopefully by the end I will be on  the road to a smaller waist line!!
