What they say: Digital membership service, DisneyLife, offers Disney’s biggest collection of entertainment, including movies, books, music and TV episodes, in one place. Available at www.DisneyLife.com, the App Store and Google PlayTM, families and fans can sign-up now for a free one month trial. A multi-user account for families comes as standard, for a monthly price of £9.99.
DisneyLife draws on family-favourite stories and characters from almost a century of magical Disney storytelling: from classic animations like The Jungle Book to DisneyPixar classics including all of the Toy Story movies, and live action blockbusters such as all of the current Pirates of the Caribbean films.
Families can now enjoy Disney wherever they are, whenever they want: take a trip with the Lost Boys to Neverland on a family movie night; really ‘Let It Go’ dancing round the house to the Frozen soundtrack; watch The Lion King’s Simba grow from cub to King in the departure lounge; sing along with Baloo to The Bare Necessities in the car; or dive into a reading adventure at bedtime with Nemo.
An easy-to-use app designed for all ages, DisneyLife allows fans to explore Disney stories and characters through a rich and colorful interface unlike any other. Stream instantly or temporarily download an ever expanding digital library of hundreds of movies and books, as well as thousands of songs and TV episodes (through a UK internet connection).
Dive deeper into special extras like Disney and DisneyPixar Shorts, deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes; and redeem one free download every month from a selection of fun Disney apps with your monthly membership. Movies, books and kids TV series are available in up to five languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
For one monthly fee, up to six members of the family can create their own individual profile on DisneyLife using their favourite iconic Disney character. The new service will also include built-in controls so that parents can set time limits on their children’s profiles for weekday and weekend use.
What we say: “I’m a huge Disney fan and having just booked a holiday to Florida for the whole family next year, I jumped at the chance to review their new digital service.
After downloading the app and logging on, my five year old twins quickly took control! Each member of the family can have their own profile, which works well when choosing favourite films and characters.
The boys quickly found The Lion Guard, one of their new favourite TV shows and we downloaded a game – you are given one free game to download per month, making the monthly fee of £9.99 even better value! The boys love this game and have been playing it pretty much non-stop ever since!
I love that you can download the app onto all of your tablets and phones – my niece happily had her hair cut while watching her favourite Monsters, Inc. film with me!
The staged reading books are fab – from Readers in Training with few words for your child to read or have read to you, to advanced readers, all with Disney themes. A whole library of options are available.
We have only just started to touch the tip of the iceberg, so to speak! The app has so many films, soundtracks, books and box sets that we haven’t yet discovered! You can even download a film or TV series to watch at a later time, when wifi isn’t available (perfect for any holiday flights).
And all members receive a cheeky 10% discount from the Disney Store too!
I’m extremely impressed so far (what did I expect, this is Disney!) and I think the app offers great value for money for any young fans – take a look, we will be renewing our membership and continuing to build excitement for our forthcoming holiday!”
We were gifted a DisneyLife subscription for this review – all words and opinions are our won and honest.
