Attraction:  Disney on Ice at the O2

Date of visit: 28th December 2013

Reviewee:  Amanda, husband John and Bethany aged 3

OVERVIEW OF EXPERIENCE:

Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best): 9/10

What did you enjoy most about the day?

We had a fantastic time at the show, we drove to the O2 which took a while but traffic wasn’t too bad. We arrived and had pre booked parking which was really simple and I would recommend. We went into a bar and had a pre-show drink and then we found our seats in the arena having purchased a rather expensive light up wand! The arena was cold (It’s on ice I know but I wasn’t expecting it to be that cold!) But the show itself was fantastic, really fun stories my daughter knows and loves and not too long so her attention was kept throughout. I would highly recommend the show to princess enthusiasts, there wasn’t much Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy time but the princesses more than made up for it for my daughter.

What did your kids enjoy most about the day?

Bethany loved every second of the show, it kept her thouroughly entertained and was amazed as Rapunzel flew!

What didn’t you or your kids enjoy?

The cost of “merchandise” was very expensive, I had brought Bethany a princess in the Disney store sale for £7.50 and they were selling ones that weren’t as good for £20! Cheapest wand was £14.

If you could make one suggestion to the attraction to enhance your experience what would it be?

A warmer arena and cheaper merchandise!

Would you go back on another day or when the kids were older?

Yes absolutely I think there are many more years enjoyment we can get from Disney on Ice!

Was there enough to do for a whole day, or is it more of a morning or afternoon event?

It was approximately 2 hours long, but we did make more of a day of it with the journey, stopping for lunch, a drink before etc.

Any other comments that you would like to share?

We had a fabulous day, I would highly recommend Disney on Ice! Great venue and great entertainment for young and old!

ENTRANCE

Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best) 9/10

Have you been given all the information that you needed for the day including maps and programme of events or is there anything else that you would have like to receive?

Yes it was easy to find and well signposted, great parking facilities.

Do you have to queue for long to get in, and was there anything to keep the kids amused whilst you are queuing?

There was a queue to get in, but it moved very quickly, there was also a queue for merchandise.

MAIN ATTRACTION

Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best): 9/10

Is the attraction easy to find/well signposted around local  area?

Yes well signposted and easy to fine.

Is the attraction easy to navigate around once you are inside?

Yes very easy to get round.

Is there room to easily wheel a buggy (single, double or triple around)?

Absolutely plenty of room

In your opinion is the attraction suitable for children of different ages regardless of the age restrictions advised by the attraction itself

What is there for 0-2 year olds? Yes there were lots of babies there, however they were there for siblings rather than being taken for the event itself!

What is there for 3 – 6 year olds?  Perfect age to get the real magic of the event!

What is there for 6- 12 year olds? Yes I think 6-12 would still have a good time, especially if they are Disney fans. (I’m 36 and I loved it!)

What additional costs are they when you are in the attraction?

There are several restaurants and bars and merchandise to buy.

What day of the week are you visiting the attraction?

Saturday

Do you find the volume of people at the attraction acceptable (i.e. to busy, empty, comfortable) and what is busiest time of the day?

It was busy but not too bad!

What is the average price range for items in the gift/souvenir shop?

The cost of promotional goods I thought were very expensive! I would recommend a
visit to a Disney store beforehand to save money!

TOILET CHANGING FACILITIES

Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best): 9/10

Were the toilets clean? Yes

Were there separate baby changing facilities? If so, were they clean and user friendly (e.g. sufficient space for buggies)

Yes

Were the toilets well located to the main attractions?

Yes

FOOD/REFRESHMENT FACILITIES

Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best): 9/10

Would you recommend the restaurant/refreshment facilities? What was there to eat for you and the kids?

Yes there is something for everyone at the O2.

Was the food reasonable priced? What did you and the kids end up eating there?

Food and drink in restaurant’s were average prices – depending on where you eat, the snacks such as popcorn and candy floss were quite expensive..

Can you feed the baby there and are there facilities to heat baby food (e.g. microwave and bottle warmer)?

Yes in the various restaurants
