Do you recycle and encourage and teach your children to do the same? I know as a busy and working mum that we have a never ending list of household chores but even recycling just one more bottle a day can make a real difference.
To highlight the many ways plastic can be given a new life if recycled, internationally renowned designer and stylist, Abigail Ahern, has channelled her uniquely quirky and recognisable style to design her first ever bespoke phone cover, which is made from 80 percent recycled plastic bottles.
The bottles can come from every room in the home whatever the colour, shape or size, and include fizzy drinks, water, squash, sauces, cooking oils, washing up liquid, shampoos, conditioners, fabric conditioners, household cleaning products, bleaches, detergents, garden and car products…the list goes on…
If you’re not sure what you can recycle at home simply check your local council’s website.
One thousand limited edition phone covers, available for iPhone 5C/S and Samsung S5, have been designed exclusively for #Pledge4Plastics, to reward those who register their support here online, tweet @pledge4plastics or like the official Pledge 4 Plastics Facebook page.
