|A lucky family of five from Weybridge, Surrey have been crowned the first ever ‘Royal Caribbean Family’. The official ambassadors of Royal Caribbean International embarked on a trip of a lifetime onboard Oasis of the Seas, one of the most innovative cruise ships.Mum Liz and dad Graham Farmer were joined on the cruise by their three children, Josie, 17, Sam, 14 and Eddie, 10.It was the Farmer family’s first ever cruise and as part of their prize they took on the role of expert reviewers for the cruise line, trying out all the latest facilities aboard Oasis of the Seas.
Mum of three Liz, submitted the winning entry which was judged through a combination of a public vote and an expert panel including Olympian and fellow mum of three Sally Gunnell.
The family were treated to a royal welcome on board the incredible Oasis of the Seas, a ship that has seen the likes of Rihanna grace the promenade, as they took to the waters on a tour of the Western Caribbean islands. The once in a lifetime opportunity also included the chance to swim with dolphins in Cozumel, Mexico’s largest island.

Oasis of the Seas is one of the newest and most innovative cruise ship in The Royal Caribbean’s fleet. The cruise set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and calling at Labadee in Haiti, Falmouth in Jamaica and Cozumel in Mexico before returning to Florida.
Guests will delight in the Oasis Class exclusive amenities and concepts throughout its seven themed neighbourhoods, such as an 82 foot-long zip line, a handcrafted vintage carousel, the Rising Tide elevating bar, Broadway musical “Hairspray”, the Aqua theatre high diving performance venue, and Central Park with more than 12,000 live trees and plants. Oasis of the Seas also offers amenities that can only be found on Royal Caribbean, such as FlowRider surf simulators, cantilevered whirlpools, an ice-skating rink, the H20 Zone kids aqua park, and the Royal Promenade, an interior boulevard that stretches nearly the length of the ship and flanked by restaurants, lounges and boutiques, among many others.
Sister ship Allure of the Seas will call the Mediterranean home in summer 2015. Offering a full season of seven-night cruises, Allure of the Seas will arrive in Barcelona on 3 May 2015 and will offer cruises from the Spanish port until October 2015.
