Plant power for toddlers

Both new meals contain two of a toddler’s recommended five-a-day, and are packed with exciting tastes and textures for little ones to explore, including mild spices and protein-rich pulses like haricot & turtle beans, and red lentils.

And, as you’d expect from Little Dish, the meals are made using 100% natural ingredients and contain no additives or preservatives which is why you will find them in the chilled aisle, not on the shelf.

Little Dish Managing Director, Shonagh Primrose, explains: “At Little Dish we love veg and know how important it is for children to eat plenty of them from a very young age, and we have always packed in as many different veg and pulses as possible into our fresh toddler meals. Recently, more and more parents have asked us to make completely plant-based recipes for their little foodies, so we’re proud to launch our two delicious new meals, which pack in plenty of plant power.”

The two new recipes have been approved by Dietitian and Mum Lucy Jones (MRES BSC Hons RD MBDA) and given the thumbs up by our panel of Tiny Tasters, and their parents.

Dietitian Lucy Jones explains: “Little Dish’s new vegan recipes are really delicious, and perfectly nutritionally balanced for toddlers. The meals are packed full of exciting tastes like cumin, paprika, coconut and cinnamon, and contain interesting textures – like haricot & turtle beans, rice and lentils – to help little ones develop a healthy palate as well as provide essential nutrition like protein and key minerals. About Little Dish

Hillary Graves founded Little Dish in 2006 to fill a gap in the market for fresh, nutritionally balanced meals for toddlers, which tasted as good as homemade, unlike traditional shelf stable meals that can sit on the shelf for up to two years. Today the award-winning range is distributed nationally with the major UK retailers. Every Little Dish recipe is approved by nutritionist, Lucy Jones, and given the thumbs up by a panel of more than 100 Tiny Tasters across the UK.
