Starring: Chloe Hawthorn as Matilda, Steve Furst Mr Wormwood
Date of review: 23rd August 2013
Reviewee: Francine Lewis
Theatre: Cambridge Theatre
Attended with: Myself, my husband Joel, my daughter Brooke age 11 and my son Jake age 7
Brief Storyline: It’s about a girl who was born to parents who didn’t really want her, and she was exceptionally clever always reading books and had mind powers too.
What did you think: I thought it was a very humorous, fun and sad too. The acting was fab and the story was done very well just like the film.
Did your children like it: They loved it my son was so scared of Miss Trunchball my fault though, as my kids are big fans of the film when they were little, so I would say if your naughty I’ll call her to come round!!! They loved the singing and dancing and watching all the children.
Did it keep them enterained throughout: They were glued to thier seats and want to see it again.
Overall mark out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 the best): 10/10
