Hunger Games

I recently read this trilogy as a friend told me too who has good taste in books. I nearly didnt read it as I found out it was aimed at teenages – I am usually a dean koontz fan with a girly book or two inbetween.

I read the trilogy (trilogys are my new thing) and loved loved it. I say give it a whirl.

Would have not have normally read myself – the subject matter was pretty grim, but I loved them (all 3) and the film!!! Just goes to show you should never judge a book by it cover!!! My husband is also hooked now (after making fun of me!!).

I read the Hunger Games trilogy back to back in a week!! Loved them!! Can't put my finger on my as they are so different from everything else I usually read, but had me hooked from the first chapter. The film was good too.

I really would like to read this as well but can I ask if you think it's also suitable for a ten year old boy to read as my son keeps asking me if he can read it?

I personally think a 10 year old is a bit young, it is quite violent and the story maybe a bit hard to follow.
