Having worked in events, publishing and then recruitment Amanda decided it was time to hang up the sales hat and try her hand at a different career. Whilst deciding which road to go down she accepted an administration role in a large retail company in the PR department. Within 3 month she had moved into marketing and found the career she had been looking for!
Working in such a large retail company for nearly 6 years she got to work on press campaigns, TV campaigns, new store openings, regional events, website, Social media, emails, advertorials basically anything and everything! In 2010 Amanda had her daughter Bethany and the full time role with lots of travel became a little harder but with great family support and a ready-made nanny (literally!) in her mum going back to work wasn’t as hard as she thought.
In May 2013 after a conversation with her childhood friend and founder of Mojomums Sally, it was clear that this could be a perfect career move for Amanda. Working on such an exciting venture, engaging with likeminded mums would be a fantastic opportunity. At a busy time for Mojomums with a changing website, expanding social media and successful recruitment company aimed at helping mums there was never a better time for the move to happen.
So not even 1 month into the role and what has happened so far? The website is in development, we have moved offices, we have managed a fund raising black tie ball, there has been an office trip to Ascot. So not much then………

It is so important to still feel like a woman and not “just” mummy, but when I became a mum my already busy days got even busier and I no longer had time to read magazines or to source the best deal on a new product now it was just go, get, get home! Mojomums is there to help, it is designed for me but also bears in mind the fact I am a mum so as much as a pampering session is in order once in a while, that isn’t every day in my world, knowing where to get a discount on kids clothes or which restaurants are great when I am going out with my friends and their kids is as important to me and Mojomum gets that. Useful information for mums but not forgetting the women too. I am already a huge fan of what Mojomums stands for and I am so proud to be working in such a great team, on such a great brand and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
